How do we get started?The first step is an initial in-person consultation which can last from 1-3 sessions during which we will meet and discuss your needs. At the end of these sessions, I will provide you with recommendations for further treatment. The consultation sessions also give you a chance to assess our fit and to decide whether you feel comfortable working with me. How long is the typical session?Once we've decide to work together, we will discuss scheduling. Session times typically remain consistent each week. Individual psychotherapy sessions last 45 minutes while group therapy sessions are 90 minutes.
Do you take insurance?I am considered an "out-of-network" provider on most insurance plans.
If you utilize your out-of-network benefits, I will provide you with a monthly receipt for you to submit to your insurance plan for reimbursement. After payment of a deductible, out-of-network benefits cover a percentage of my fee and you may be able to use pre-tax dollars through a flexible medical spending account to cover out-of-pocket psychotherapy expenses.
